What this site collects, what it does not, and who else is involved when you use it.

What we collect directly

Nothing that identifies you. Robot Mower Data has no accounts, no newsletter, no comments, and no forms that ask for personal information. There is nothing here for you to sign up to, so there is nothing for us to hold.

The robot mower finder

The robot mower finder runs in your browser and asks our server for the products matching your answers. Those requests contain your answers — a lawn size, a boundary preference — and nothing about you. The answers are not stored against any identifier, and they are not combined into a profile.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard web server logs: the page requested, the time, a browser user-agent string, and an IP address. These are used to keep the site running and to identify abuse. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors.

Amazon links

Links to Amazon carry an affiliate tag identifying this site as the referrer. When you follow one, Amazon knows you arrived from here, and Amazon’s own privacy policy governs everything that happens from that point. We receive aggregate reporting on clicks and purchases — never the identity of the person who made them.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising cookies. Amazon may set its own cookies when you follow a link there, including the one that attributes a purchase to this site; that is Amazon’s cookie under Amazon’s policy, and it is how affiliate attribution works.

Analytics

There is no analytics package on this site. No page view is counted, no session is recorded, and no visitor is identified. Should that change, this section will say so before it does — the wording here is generated from the site’s own configuration rather than written by hand, so it cannot quietly go out of date.

Third parties

Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google’s servers receive a request including your IP address when a page loads. This is the only third-party asset on the site.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data an operator holds about you. In our case there is very little to exercise those rights against, because we do not collect data that identifies you. Requests concerning data Amazon holds should go to Amazon.

What we deliberately do not do

There is no advertising network on this site, no social embeds, no session recording, and no A/B testing framework. Each of those would collect more about you than we have any use for, and each would load third-party code we would then be responsible for.

The finder is the one interactive feature here, and it was built to run without knowing anything about you. Your answers travel to our server as a query, come back as a list of products, and are not written down. There is no account to attach them to and no identifier to attach them by.

Data retention

Server logs are retained by our hosting provider under their standard policy and are used for operating the site and investigating abuse. Because we hold no accounts and set no tracking cookies, there is no user database to retain, breach, or be asked to delete.

Children

This site is intended for people buying garden machinery and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, which includes children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will appear here. This version was published on 2026-08-27.
